DIY EOS Makeup – How To Make Your Own Contour & Highlight

DIY EOS Makeup – How To Make Your Own Contour & Highlight

Lip Balms are so important to many of us and I feel as though I am literally addicted to them. My lips have become so used to having lip balm on them at all times and my two favorite ones to use are vaseline and EOS lip balms. EOS lip balms are simply so adorable, easy and fun to use! The only problem is what to do with the containers once the lip balm is all used up. It seems wasteful to throw these cute little pods away, which is why we are going to give you a reason to use them with a fun DIY EOS tutorial.

I’m so glad that a bunch of people like me didn’t want them to go to waste and created something even better out of them. I had two of them and thought it would be a good idea to make them into some sort of makeup kit. I turned my EOS lip balms into a DIY EOS cream contour and highlighter. Now you can contour and highlight on the go and easily toss one of these makeup savers into your purse for a quick touch-up.

DIY EOS Makeup – How To Make Your Own Contour & Highlight

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own DIY EOS contour and highlighter

  • 2 empty EOS lip balm containers
  • Coconut oil
  • Shimmer eyeshadow for the highlighter
  • A dark bronzer or eyeshadow that is two or three shades darker than your skin tone for the contour
  • Translucent face powder
  • 2 lip balms that have beeswax (I used lip smackers)
  • Two small bowls

Got all your ingredients assembled? Let’s make our own DIY EOS makeup!

  1. If you have any lip balm in your EOS, take it out into a bowl.
  2. Add 1 stick of the extra lip balm along with it.
  3. Add one tablespoon of coconut oil.
  4. Add the pigmented color (I used a pink glitter eyeshadow for the highlighter and a bronzer for the contour)
  5. Add some translucent powder (this will stop it from being very greasy)
  6. Mix everything together as best as you can to get a smooth consistency.
  7. Take your empty EOS container and open it. Pop out the grate inside using a knife (be careful!).
  8. Turn the grate over and snap it back into the bottom lid. Place the bottom lid on the top lid for stability.
  9. Put your mixture in the microwave for 1 minute.
  10. Pour the mixture into the container.
  11. Put it in the freezer for one hour.

When you take it out of the freezer, flip it over to the original side and your beautiful new contour and highlight stick should be ready to use!
