Easy Face Masks Review: Lululun Face Mask Balance Moisture

Easy Face Masks Review: Lululun Face Mask Balance Moisture

Winter is here and I find myself in many different situations, in a room with heating to one with air-conditioning and then the cold wind outside making my dry skin scream for help. This is when I decided to try a face mask to moisturise my skin. I am usually not a fan of using face masks as I don’t like the hassle and the mess they can create, however today I am going to review one of the easy face masks I have come across by Lululun. LuLuLun is a facial mask brand and is considered one of the bestsellers in the Japanese skincare market. The concept of Lululun is affordable price and “Japanese quality” nourishing ingredients for your skin, for everyday use.

There are three different types of masks, Balance Moisture (Pink), High Moisture (Blue) and Translucent Light (White). All of them contain ingredients that reduce the production of melanin in the skin to calm it. These masks are great for sensitive skin as they are fragrance, color and mineral oil free. I used the Balance Moisture (Pink) face mask, I think it’s the basic and standard one to use.

The packaging is super cute and compact at the same time with 7 sheet masks inside one packet, very eco-friendly! They are closed in a zip bag so it guarantees the freshness and the only problem I faced is that the sheets are all stuck together so it’s not easy to just take one out. However once you have managed to take one out and take ages to unfold the sheet, the feeling of the mask on your skin is very fresh. They stick to your skin very well, so just relax and lie down while you have it on. Once you remove the sheet, your skin should be relaxed and very moisturised, so if you are looking for easy face masks for everyday give this a try!

How to use:

–  After cleaning your face apply the mask to fit your face

– Leave it on for 15-20 minutes

– Remove the mask and gently massage the skin to make it absorb the remaining essence

First impressions: They are definitely one of the few easy face masks I have come across! The masks are solid enough not to tear apart when you start manipulating them (as many sheet masks do!). One thing I have to complain about, is the shape of these masks. They are definitely made according to Japanese standards, or maybe my face is just too small. The mask covered the centre part of my face well but was too big on the ends and had no skin left to stick on. You can see in the picture how the ends are hanging out and are not flat on my face.

Here’s how the mask fits me:

Effect: You are supposed to use these for 7-days, however my skin was moisturised after the first one so I can only imagine the results after the full course. I guess, it is a rather cheap and viable option if you have the need and willingness to apply one face sheet mask per day. The LuLuLun sheet masks didn’t make my skin break, nor did I experience any new skin rashes or irritation. They made my face look more relaxed and glowing! LuLuLun sheet masks are gentle, which makes them suitable for daily use.

Where to get it: I got my mask from my sister who bought it from Hong Kong, but you can buy it from Amazon right here.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Niacinamide, Sodium PCA, Honey, Glycosphingolipids, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Lysolecithin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Leaf Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaft extract, Plantago Major Seed Extract, Citrus Reticulate (Tangerine) Peel Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Xantham Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylene Glycol.

Pros:

♥ Can be used daily, or less regularly

♥ Good for sensitive skins

Cons:

▼ The sheets are thin and stuck together

▼ Not easy to take them off from the bag without getting a lot of essence on the hands

Recommending?

Yes, if you have low budget and that you don’t mind getting annoyed when you try to unfold the sheets!
